Babies and Toddlers
We would ask all parents of children on formula milk to ensure that your child has adequate supplies, daily. The nursery will mark all bottles with black permanent marker. All bottles will be returned each evening, after being sterilised.
Each child needs to have a baby bag that has been labelled containing:
- Toiletries
- Bottles
- Nappies
- Baby Wipes
- Changes of Clothes
- Comforters, Soothers (teddy, blankets etc.)
All children at walking stage will need slippers for indoors and wellies for going out on the farm, if possible. It is important for all children to have a warm hat and coat, as we like to go out every day - if at all possible. In summer all children must have sun-block and a labelled sun hat.
Exclusion
A child will be excluded from the services if they have any of the following symptoms:
- Diarrhoea
- Vomiting
- A fever of 101°C/38°F, or above
- For first 24 hours on an antibiotic
- Communicable Diseases
- Chicken Pox, Measles, Hepatitis, Mumps, Meningitis, Head Lice
Settling in Period
Parents are allowed to remain with their child or children if necessary for the settling in period. However, this can lead to disruption of other children's routines, so we would ask you not to prolong your stay. Staff will treat children very sensitively if they are upset. Parents will be contacted if their child cannot settle.
We recommend shorter stays for the children for the first few days as they settle in - to give them a chance to acclimatize to their new eiviroment, especially if you find that they are upset.
